Horice was born when my dad requested a whimsical sculpture for fathers day. I made a few different ones but I decided not to give him Horice and sell him instead. Well the first day he has on display, Marija of Kennedy Studios in marathon came to my table, my friend John over at the Shork Munsel studio had sent her to see my stuff. She fell in love with the bird and commissioned the sculpture. My dad Considers all of this strong evidence that I should do more whimsical sculptures.

Marija was wonderful to work with and i want to thank John for letting me use the Studio to construct Morice. Horice now has a steel eye pupil and has been painted a blue green color rather like a copper patina. Marija is constructing a mosaic base for him and he will be on display outside of Kennedy studios (MM 48).
